COVID-19 Support

Together Toward Health (TTH) is a statewide initiative to stop the spread of COVID-19 and strengthen health and resilience in California’s most impacted communities. “Guided by equity, Together Toward Health is supporting education, awareness and outreach to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, increase vaccine awareness and uptake, and provide workforce development strategies to strengthen economic resilience.”

Healing-Centered Programs

AAAWLC offers non-traditional forms of mental health services such as support groups, restorative healing circles, and trauma-informed practices/teachings. Programs include Empowered Women of Excellence, Community Strong Healing Circles, and Girls Loving Our Worth. Read more here.

PEI SistaCoach Program

AAAWLC is excited to lead the SistaCoach Program through San Joaquin Public Health Services, Perinatal Equity Initiative. Our SistaCoaches will work with pregnant and new African American mothers to ensure they are supported during and after pregnancy. The goal of the Sistacoach program is to empower the lives of African American women by improving maternal and birth outcomes for their families. We will provide education; information, surrounding maternal health and wellness, self esteem, breastfeeding, postpartum, financial literacy and much more. Call today to register!

Scholarships

The Amelia Ann Adams Scholarship Program, Backyard Scholars and Leaders, provides support to students and professionals in San Joaquin County who have educational and career goals. The Budding Scholars and Flourishing Professionals scholarship applications are open until March 31, 2023. Find out more here.
