Supporting Black Moms and Babies

PEI Logo (2).png

At The Amelia Ann Adams Whole Life Center (AAAWLC), we believe in the power of community to support and uplift mothers.  Our Village Implementing Birth Equity (VIBE) program and SistaCoach programs creates a village of care, offering comprehensive support and promoting healing for Black moms and their babies during one of the most transformative periods of their lives.

Designed specifically for Black/African American women in San Joaquin County, the SistaCoach Program provides resources and guidance during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum. Our goal is simple: Healthy Moms birth Healthy Babies.

  • Health, Wellness, and Nutrition: Personalized guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle for moms and babies.

  • Pregnancy, Birth, and Breastfeeding Support: Practical education and advocacy to empower moms through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum.

  • Mental Health, Trauma, and Stress Reduction: Tools and resources to promote emotional well-being and healing.

  • Access to Healthcare: Assistance in navigating healthcare systems to ensure timely and equitable care.

  • Basic Needs and Resources: Connections to essential services to support families, including housing, food, and transportation.

The SistaCoach Program is more than just a service, it’s a community. Together, we’re building a village of support, healing, and empowerment for Black moms and their babies. Let us walk alongside you on this journey to ensure you feel healthy, happy, and supported every step of the way.
